The installers are not signed yet. Windows shows a SmartScreen warning on start – the installation can be confirmed under “More info”. Compare the checksum first.

System requirements

Workstation

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
  • .NET Desktop Runtime 10 (x64)
  • Administrator rights for the installation
  • In network mode: access to the server in the company network

Server (network mode only)

  • Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows Server 2019 and newer
  • Microsoft SQL Server Express – free of charge, up to 10 GB per database (network mode only)
  • 8 GB of RAM, 16 GB recommended; 20 GB of free disk space
  • Shares for documents, backups and updates

Download integrity

Every version ships with a file of SHA-256 checksums. Compare it with the downloaded file before installing.

Calculate the checksum on Windows:

certutil -hashfile Vehistra-Setup.exe SHA256

Installation

The server is set up once; every further workstation is connected in about five minutes.
