Workshop orders
A workshop order accompanies a vehicle from planning to collection.
The seven statuses
| Status | Meaning | | ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | Planned | The order exists but has no date yet | | Appointment agreed | Workshop and date are fixed | | Vehicle handed over | The vehicle is at the workshop | | In progress | Work is happening | | Waiting for parts | Work is paused – the most common reason for long dwell times | | Ready | The vehicle can be collected | | Collected | The order is closed |
“Waiting for parts” is deliberately its own status: anyone who has to explain a dwell time otherwise cannot tell whether the workshop is slow or waiting for a delivery.
Dwell times
While a vehicle is at the workshop, the overview shows the dwell time. Administrators define when a stay starts to stand out – seven days by default, critical from twice that. Clicking the figure in the overview opens the workshop list with exactly that filter. Flagged orders also appear under deadlines.
Cost
Cost is recorded on the order, invoices are attached as documents. Together with the related damage this shows what an incident actually cost.
Workshop report
For every order a workshop report as PDF can be produced – with vehicle, order, work done and cost. See Reports and export.
